For a number of years generous donors have enabled Alola to administer an extensive and highly appreciated Scholarship Program, covering all 13 districts in Timor Leste and one in neighbouring Indonesia. These scholarships cover school fees, books, uniforms and other basic school items. Over 1000 students in 113 schools are the beneficiaries of this program.

In addition we are providing Life Skills training to our scholarship recipients in 6 of the districts of Timor Leste in this year.

Become a School Support Sponsor program sponsor

You can become a scholarship donor by making a regular donation through our website Donation link. Simply indicate that your donation is for the ‘Alola Scholarship Program’ and specify whether it is for primary, secondary or tertiary.

Cost of Scholarship:

• Primary Education is US$70 per annum;
• Secondary Education: US$85 per annum;
• Tertiary Education: US$225 per annum.

Students are selected according to a strict set of criteria with priority given to orphans and those suffering severe economic hardship. Most scholarships are granted for a minimum of three years. For more information about becoming a scholarship donor please click here.
