Breastfeeding promotion in IDP camps and Communities during emergency

Breastfeeding Film – Mother’s Milk - Bringing up a New Generation in good health was produced by Kylie Grey, a freelance journalist from Australia, in collaboration with Alola Foundation and Life, Love and Health to promote exclusive breastfeeding up too 6 months in Timor-Leste.

To distribute this film to community, Alola Foundation, in partnership with Life, Love & Health received financial support from UNICEF to implement a short term project onthe Breastfeeding Film Show. This project received excellent audience participation and has been shown to 4000 people in Timor-Leste. In addition to the breastfeeding film show, there was a participatory discussion session between the audiences and health workers from Ministry of Health, as well as the Mother Support Groups Members.  This interactive discussion is helpful for the community to have more information related to breastfeeding issues.

This project was very successful and will strengthen Alola Foundation’s breastfeeding education program.
