JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT for the position of: ALOLA ESPERANSA - HERITAGE MARKETING AND SALES OFFICER

The Alola Esperansa Heritage Marketing and Sales Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to achieve annual sales targets. The Officer manages both online and offline sales, participates in exhibitions, builds strong customer relationships, and ensures the quality of Alola’s Tais products.


The Marketing and Sales Officer responsibilities to develop and execute sales plans that achieve monthly and annual targets while increasing sales volume and customer acquisition.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Target Achievement: Develop and execute sales plans to achieve assigned monthly/annual sales targets.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Develop marketing materials (Digital content, social media posts such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok as well).
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain client databases, handle client inquiries, gather feedback, and resolve complaints to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor the trend of Alola Esperansa shop, analyze sales data, and prepare weekly/monthly performance reports to Alola Esperansa Manager.
  • Inventory & Data Management: Maintain accurate sales records (both digital and manual). Update the stock database for items collected from weavers and tailors at the Tais Production Center before they are displayed in the shop.
  • Documentation: Generate invoices and Delivery Orders (DO) for customers.
  • Financial Administration: Prepare all receipts and income notes, ensuring all earnings are properly documented before being submitted to the Finance Department.
  • Operational Support: Coordinate with Alola Esperansa Manager regarding stock management, dispatch status, and product delivery (AE shop). 
  • Procurement Support: Assist the Tais Production Center in purchasing materials required for production and shop inventory.
  • Logistics: Personally deliver orders and invoices to customers when urgent.
  • Merchandising: Oversee in-shop sales, ensure all products are correctly priced/labeled, and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of merchandise and displays weekly.

Deliverables

  • Updated database of clients and the sales database.
  • Comprehensive weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Measurable increase in sales volume and customer acquisition.
  1. Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills both written and verbal, with fluency in English and Tetum, MS Office, Excel and digital marketing tools.
  • Attributes: Target-oriented, self-motivated, flexibility, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
